Take out Adoption Papers on a smoker and help him or her kick the habit for a day. Students may receive an hour of community service credit for participation.

European researchers found that children exposed to secondhand smoke on a daily basis have more than triple the risk of developing lung cancer and an increased risk of developing other respiratory problems later in life than those who grew up in a smoke-free environment. More
